Judith's Story

Growing up in Foster Care from the age of 9, Judith experienced various challenges such as exclusions from school and college, run ins with the law and a crisis which led to a period of poor mental health, but tenaciously sought to make it in life. After a miraculous recovery, Judith was guided to take stock of her natural skills and abilities to help her map out the next steps in her life. On this personal road of discovery, Judith began to visualize her potential, causing her to seek out expert Mentors and Professionals to help further develop her skills. It was here that Judith also began to understand that her Care Experience is a Chapter in her Book and Not The End of her Story and saw that she had a God given purpose, ‘to help make a difference in the lives of those she can relate to’, and passionately set about achieving this goal of inspiring change, through her lived experience.

With that in mind, Judith is now the Founder and CEO of a Social Enterprise ‘The Transformed You’, established to transform the lives and raise the aspirations of Children and Young People in Care and Care Leavers. Judith is also a powerful Speaker, an empowering Trainer, an expert Consultant and an authentic Author.

As an Influencer, Judith has sat on various Childrens’ Social Care Panels, and was an Expert By Experience Board Member for England’s Independent Review of Children’s Social Care. Judith is also the Founder of The Black Care Experience helping to shape a better Care Experience for Black Children and Young People In Care in Children’s Social Care System.
