The VALUE of THEM - Instagram Post

Over the past few weeks I’ve been on a journey with you to help you Find and Be YOU, and understand the VALUE of YOU. Feel free to read my previous posts to refresh your memory.

Now we’re going to look at the VALUE of THEM.

What do I mean by the VALUE of THEM? And who are ‘THEM’?

These are the people around you, your CORE TEAM, your Cheerleaders, your Trusted Advisors, and may come in the form of a Family Member, a Close Friend, a Mentor, someone you can be open and honest with about the highs and lows of your journey and they in return are able to help you see things clearly, in order for you to stay on track or get back on track towards achieving your goals.

These are the people that help you talk through those difficult and trying times and leave you feeling inspired, motivated and hopeful.

-

These are the people who won’t tell you what you want to hear, but will lovingly tell you what you need to hear.

-

These are the people who understand that you won’t always see eye to eye, but there’s a healthy mutual respect that empowers you to be your authentic self.

-

There’s no competition between you and them and they are certainly not possessive.

-

These people add VALUE to who you are and who you are becoming and you add VALUE to them.

-

Innately, these are GOOD PEOPLE, who will be small in number, but are your powerful VILLAGE of support, your inner circle.

-

Now to those who are in search of this network of VALUABLE support, Oprah Winfrey is known to have said, ‘Be careful of being around people who try to dim your light’. These are people who you may have given access to your life, but their opinions as to who you are and your ambitions have left you wondering as to whether they sincerely have your best interests at heart, and you don’t sense that they are truly happy for you when you achieve your goals.

It is here that you maybe distracted and spend your valuable time trying to figure out their issue and may even see yourself as the problem, and when in their company, try your best to not talk about your achievements and goals.

These people, for whatever reason, are not able to engage in the transaction of adding VALUE to you and you adding VALUE to them, and you MAY have to part company and respectfully go your separate ways.

With this in mind, I encourage YOU to surround yourself with a CORE TEAM of people who truly are actively and positively concerned about your WHOLISTIC wellbeing and are able to cheer you on to PASSIONATELY unleash your POTENTIAL, empowering you to discover and fulfil your GOD GIVEN PURPOSE.
